Cruz aims for middle ground

On September 13, 2013 The Texas Tribune published an article on immigration; Cruz aims for middle ground by Julian Aguilar and Jay Root. The article states Senator Ted Cruz opposes to the citizenship to people who broke the law by entering United States illegally, but wants to see a fairness immigration form to pass. Although Cruz opposes, Pete Gallego a U.S. Rep. supports illegal immigrants to be considered to a citizenship. The article mention Cruz’s dad came to U.S from Cuba with a student visa, while he worked as a dishwasher and as time passed by he became a citizen, therefore; Cruz is no different than anyone else who migrated legally or illegally to U.S.A for a brighter future. Therefore, Cruz should be in favor of the immigration reform and all other people who oppose the immigration reform, even when their ancestors migrated to U.S.A legally or illegally with the restriction of been residing in U.S long enough to pass a background check, paying a fee, and pledge allegiance to the U.S.A flag.
This article is interesting to read because it gives a point of view of how people who come from a different ethnicity were born in the U.S and begin to think differently about immigration reform without remembering their ancestors migrated to U.S.A
